Where to go cycling? To Singltrek Suchák

Singltrek Suchák is located in the Eagle Mountains in the Suchý vrch Nature Park. The singletrek starts at the car park Červenovodské sedlo.

Trail types

My singltrek route was as follows:

• Green 1, 2
• Blue 1
• Red 1-11
• Green 5

The Green Trail is for everyone. It is quite simple, but beware. Right at the start, in sections 1 and 2, there are quite sharp turns and large rocks along the edges of the path in the thick grass and can be easily missed. The other sections are easy and contain no challenging turns or uphill pedalling. The 5th section is more or less always downhill.

The Blue is very similar to the green route. Some sections are a bit “steeper” but it is not dangerous.

Red is moderately difficult. The difficulty isn’t due to it being dangerous, but you have to brake more here and you’ll get faster on it. There are no dangerous alleyways or corners. There are a few “U turns” (switchbacks) on the trail, but they are easy to see so you know when they are coming and can prepare for them in time.

Bouda cottage

If you decide to go around the whole red trail, count on the fact that sections 5 to 10 are uphill and those sections are quite “challenging” to climb. Fortunately, there is a hut called Bouda before the 8th section where you can buy refreshments (btw, the 8th section is really challenging after the beer 😅).

Dělostřelecká tvrz Bouda is located just below the Bouda cottage on section 7. There is also a small rest area where you can take a break if you don’t want to stop at Bouda.
