Mill Colonnade

The Mill Colonnade in Karlovy Vary is the largest and most famous colonnade in the city. The colonnade is 132 metres long and has 124 Corinthian columns. There are five mineral springs inside the colonnade, including the Mill Spring, which is one of the most famous springs in Karlovy Vary.

Market Colonnade

The Market Colonnade in Karlovy Vary is a wooden colonnade in the Swiss style. The colonnade is 132 metres long and has 136 wooden columns. Inside the colonnade there are three mineral springs: the Charles IV Spring, the Lower Castle Spring and the Market Spring.

Spring

The Karlovy Vary spring is the most abundant and warmest mineral spring in the Czech Republic. The spring has a temperature of 73.4 °C and a yield of 2,000 litres per minute. The water from the spring is rich in minerals such as sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium.

St. John’s Bridge

The Janský Bridge in Karlovy Vary is a stone bridge with statues. The bridge is 26 metres long and 12 metres wide. It has one arch and is decorated with two statues: the statue of St. John of Nepomuk on the side facing the Spring Colonnade and the statue of St. John the Baptist on the side facing the Mill Colonnade. On the Janský Bridge there is a sign saying Karlovy Vary, and it is a popular tourist destination for photos.

Grandhotel Pupp

Grandhotel Pupp in Karlovy Vary is a five-star hotel with a tradition since 1701. It is one of the most luxurious hotels in the Czech Republic and is a favourite place of accommodation for prominent personalities from all over the world. In front of the hotel, brass bricks with the names of celebrities and famous people who have visited the hotel are set in the pavement. There is also a café that offers lovely seating and delicious pastries, coffee and hot chocolate.

Diana lookout tower

Diana Lookout Tower in Karlovy Vary is a brick lookout tower with a wooden gallery. The lookout tower is located on the Friendship Height at an altitude of 562 metres and offers a magnificent view of the town of Karlovy Vary, its surroundings and the Ore Mountains. The tower can be ascended by cable car, so you can save your strength for a walk around instead of trudging uphill. The tower offers a beautiful view of the whole of Karlovy Vary.

Deer jump

The Deer Leap in Karlovy Vary is a rock formation with a bronze statue of a chamois located on the spa heights above the town. Jelení Skok is a popular tourist destination because it offers a magnificent view of Karlovy Vary and its surroundings. Stairs lead directly from Karlovy Vary to the chamois.

Bagel Lounge

If you are wondering where to eat, there are good restaurants in T. G. Masaryk and Dr. David Becher Street. I recommend going for a burger or bagel at Bagel Lounge in Carlsbad.

Dvořák Sady

Dvořák Sady in Karlovy Vary is a city park that was founded in 1878. The park is located at the beginning of the spa zone between the Thermal Hotel and the Sadova Colonnade. In summer there is a nice sitting area, there are stands with cakes, hot chocolate, drinks, wafers, etc.

Imperial Baths

If you like history, I recommend visiting Imperial Baths.

Hotel Saunia thermal pool

If you’re looking for a breathtaking view, relaxation and comfort in a heated pool, be sure to visit Saunia Hotel Thermal Pool.
