Where to park in San Marino

If you’re planning to go to San Marino by car or motorbike, you’ll probably be looking for some parking.

Entry to San Marino is not conditional on meeting emissions standards as it is in Italy, nor are there any checks at the “border” with Italy.

The car park with the best starting point is in the middle of town.

It is paid, underground, three-storeyed and even during the season there was plenty of space both in the morning (8am) and in the afternoon (4pm).

If you choose another parking lot, be careful not to choose one that, while it also has a parking meter, is for locals only. It’s not very well signposted. There is one such right at the entrance to the car park mentioned below.

You can walk from parking lot to an elevator, that will take you to Piazzale Lo Stradone. This path can also be reached by taking the stairs that lead around the elevator and the shop.
